Did you really isolate it to be caused by Thing? Because like I said - the kernel will kill Thing even if the problem is caused by some other process. Isolate in this case means isolating which combinations of processes doesn't work. If Thing works on its own, and with most applications, it is caused by the failing applications - not Thing.

And the only reason I write this is because Thing has worked flawlessly with memory protection on my CT60, Falcon, Hades and Milan. For several years, with several different kernels. I'm not the only one, either.

Just try to isolate the problem, because like I've been trying to tell you it's quite likely caused by some other application. Fix that application and Thing won't be killed. Again, the fault is likely to be external to Thing.
