This is what I always got too. Today I ran the installer et voila jinee  
works (on aranym, see screenshot)!

Yes, without proper installation this happens. Jinee is not a clean  
program and not officially supported by XaAES.

But this Magic-FATAL should not happen either.

Install jinee with the setup-program and disable memory-protection (I  
guess).
