If a SLB can't be loaded, an error message is sent through the alert
pipe. So XaAES (or alert.acc if you're not using XaAES) should display
an alert if the SLB can't be loaded. Maybe you have disabled this alert
in your setup (check the ALERT_WINDOWS setting in xaaes.cnf).
