That's true, but you wrote:

If there is a driver for the USB-chip in the Firebee, then there's
nothing stopping you from developing USB-drivers *on* the Firebee.
Developing on an emulator and running it on the real hardware takes away
a lot of the point in having a Firebee in the first place. IMHO of
course.
