Don't you have a GEMDOS (VFAT or not) partition? I always keep such a
partition for all my applications. I only use ext2 for the unix
filesystem and my personnal files. I've always found the following
kind of setup to be the most appropriate: standard small GEMDOS
partition for C:, large VFAT for apps, ext2 for all the rest.
