VFAT.XFS ??

Greetings,

Given that I often have to exchange data with customers on Win95,
I was looking for a VFAT.XFS so I could be 100% compatible.

   http://www-plateau.cs.berkeley.edu/people/chaffee/vfat.html

Seems to indicate that VFAT has been the default filesystem running
in Linux since quite a while, so I was wondering if there is anyone
competent enough to extract the VFAT routines and create a VFAT.XFS
that could run neatly along MINIX.XFS so that VFAT partitions could
be read/written when needed.

I know very well that MINIX is a *much* better filesystem than VFAT,
but compatibility is a key issue here. I make WebPages for a living
and often receive logos and images, on Zip/Jaz or Floppies formatted
on VFAT under Win95, so I need to access the longnames, as truncated
names aren't good enough.

Could anyone look into porting the Linux sources?

Thanks! ;-)
