Hmm, I was looking into it for several hours and at the end I just
realized it had no point to remove the remaining __mint variables. I did
it anyway, but I doubt my changes are worth including into official pl48.
The changes I made don't short the library too much but might cause
problems on MiNT older than 1.11 (I simply removed code for the older MiNT
versions). Even if I think that everybody uses 1.12 or newer, it still
might not be wise to just remove the code I considered obsolete...

Anyway, I list my changes here:

unx2dos.c support for virtual drives Q: and V: removed
open.c      two if's simplified (MiNT >= 0.96 and 1.09)
ioctl.c support for virtual drive V: removed, two if's removed
stime.c just external __mint removed (;-)
sleep.c     block for MiNT < 0.95 removed
pause.c     block for MiNT < 0.95 removed
uname.c "falcon" machine added (the only serious patch ;-)
do_stat.c support for virtual drive Q: removed

OK, that's all. The diffs I've sent to Yves directly. It's up to you if
the changes will be accepted or not.

BTW, I still owe you a real patch for statfs("./") bug. Unfortunately I
haven't had time for closer look at that...
