	I experienced the same, but I think it was not mint's fault, but
N.AES'es. N.AES 1.1.0 worked fine and 1.2.0 failed every time no matter what
I tried. I did not experience a freeze however, more something like a
communication failure between the editor and the assembler (TTP). You could
also mean MON.TTP which indeed has and never will function correctly under
mint.
