[MiNT] Using pine with modem

Hello,

I don't like to use graphic mailers, but I have had to use GEM agents 
like aMail. Now utils like fetchmail and fetchpop are ported to 
SpareMiNT. So I think I can now use pine confortably, but I do not 
know exactly how. I have only the modem connection to the internet. 

If I understand it right I need MTA and MUA on my computer. MUA is 
pine and MTA are 2: one for receiving (pop3) and one for sending 
(smtp). fetchpop/ferchmail are for receiving and they works fine. But 
how to force the system to hold new mails and replays until I will 
connect next time? Shall I use something like sendmail or smail? I 
have heard that qmail is possibly the best, but it is not ported to 
SpareMiNT, is it? I will also welcome example setups etc.
