[MiNT] Network issues - alpha release

Hi all,

Last night I downloaded the lates XaAES/Freemint alpha.
It looks great even though I didn't fiddle with the
graphics used for the AES objects.

My main reason for installing was to test the network
issue that I have with the 1.16.* kernels.

Sadly, this latest release seems to be the same as the others.
I did on one occasion manage to ftp download a 36kByte file
but couldn't repeat it even after rebooting.

Anything smaller than 32k is fine. The same is true of uploading
or mailing.

:-(

So the fix to the stack handling hasn't helped. Any suggestions
for tests or solutions welcomed.
