Wouldn't it be better to use

sln u:/ram u:/tmp

and leave $TMP, $TEMP, etc. set to /tmp. This way any prg that uses a  
hard-wired /tmp also works.

Also it's easier to set the temp-dir to something else (only one line to  
change).
