Gcc and Minix??

It seems to me that Gcc can't use long filenames on my Minixpartitions. It
uses the ".dir"-file for long filenames, rather than MinixFS. I've got the
same problem with Emacs (18.57).
Anyone got a simple solution??? Is it just a switch or something???

My equipment is:
Falcon TOS 4.04
MiNT 1.10H2
Minix 0.60 PL10
2 partitions on IDE (one 33.54MB and one 27.02MB)
ICD Pro 6.20 HD-Driver
Gcc 2.58 (mfgcc258.zoo from a.a.u.e:/Mint/)
