You would have to patch MiNT 1.12.4 for yourself to get it running.
Search for the Hardware-Adresses of serial2 and modem2. I believe
they are in xbios.c, bios.c und biosfs.c. Change them from TT to ST-ESCC.
I don't know whether the Patch in MiNT 1.15 is working, since I don't
use my old st anymore (I'm working with a Hades now).
