Btw, has anybody successfully ported it, using the current libraries?

IMHO, if the implementation is different, your daemon should
have a different name than diald, otherwise people could try
to implement the same scripts and wonder why they fail.

In general, the rule should be:

if the implementation is the same (e.g. ported) keep the same name,
otherwise avoid naming a brand new piece of code after an existing
application from the Linux or Unix universe.

Found; my mistake. I was expecting the docs to be in the main "doc"
folder of the archive (shouldn't all docs included in the package be
centralized there?)

Anyhow, having read it, it seems it serves the same purpose as the
similarly named Linux application, but implements it differently.

Obviously, now that I use Ethernet, I won't have as big of a need
for any PPP dialer as before (I only use PPPD for the serial link
between the Stacy and TT, nowadays), but I'm sure others will find
it very usefull. Keep up the good work! ;-)
