What I want to say here is that for less than 500$ I can get a used PowerPC
or Wintel machine which will even outperform a Milan 060 easily. If we want
to run GEM applications on top of a Linux compatible operating system, the
best way would probably to pick up the STonX sources, to enhance the X based
VDI and then to come up with a native AES replacement.
