Hello Julian, I have to say I disagree on your suggestions to keep mint
back to a simple magic lookalike. The way mint has gone since Frank took
over is really great. And to me his forthcoming plans seems very good as
well. I personally like to use TOS specific software as well as ported
Unix software.
And no, this would not be possible with magic (as there simply is no
ported unix applications for it). And with linux+aes as it would not be
possible to use the Atari hardware. Mint is simply the perfect "in
between" as I see it. And if it's possible to come closer to unix without
damaging TOS compatibility, well go for it, imho, even if it means using a
bit more resources.
Well just some thoughts from a simple mint user.
