I've done a lot of tests (Treecheck is my friend here) and unfortunately
DMASNOOP doesn't solve all problems on my system. The errors go down from
1-3% to 0.1% but they're still there. Though it might be hardware related.

I have similar experience (in the sense that corrupted files are much 
more often under MiNT).
