No, because it's just too awkward to maintain a CVS tree through a modem
line (from an appartment where the room-mates keep the telephone line
constantly busy).

It would be possible to provide a fake CVS tree that only allows browsing
the sources from the web.  But you would still have to send patches the
classic way by e-mail.
