As far I diagnosed two problems:

1. Modern SLIP.XIF when using PPP connection - to avoid it I use 
older SLIP.XIF (from 1.15 kernel) - with new SLIP.XIF speed goes to 
craw after transfering few KB.

2. Memory leak when downloading large number of files using wget, but 
it may be not out problem, or library problem.
