Yes, I was just experimenting to see what would happen. I don't
haVe Lattice or PureC, I am tying to learn how to use GCC. Compiling
something that would work straight away wouldn't be very educational ;-)

I expect that there is a suitable replacement for DOS.H or some
way to modify Newsie. I have all ready removed aes.h and vdi.h
and inserted gem.h

I had to change the actual filenames to lower case and modify
the calls to evnt_timer too. Nothing major yet but GCC does
give a lot of "cannot convert to a pointer type" errors.
