Do we have to > consider your project as a fork ? Well, it's not the fork just improvements over 1.2 version (which isn't developed anymore, 1.3 branch is not supported on Atari's). I've just exposed the things that I have worked on lately. I've made this because no one grants write access to SDL repository and they only accept patches. If patches are good enough then they are accepted and commited to the main SDL 1.2 trunk by someone from SDL staff. I've sent my patches to Patrice and he reviewed them. I've refactored XBIOS driver, but I've introduced intentionally some code bloat, which should be fixed. But I think that it would be better to work on single repository, test the changes send them to the main project later. Making patches and sending them back and forth is time consuming (and I'm lazy ;)). I'm also unable to test everything, the more people will try it out the better. I've sent an e-mail to Patrice with this proposal and Mercurial access to make all changes there. The second thing is that we have no tracking issue system for atari port. Third thing is, sources are public and anyone can fix some bugs if he likes (I don't mind ;)).. Well, there is 5 person limit, but I don't think that there be as much volunteers ;). > There is a beginning of answer on your website : "First one is with > audio system and compilation for 020-060 processors. If there will be nothing to do, everything will be fixed and improved for Atari platform then yes. This repo is also for my own safety and others, if my black netbook will be gone forever changes will be there :). Making code commits to the SDL project will be easier too.
