Re: GlueSTiK 0.02b5

Hi Scott,

 >The new version is available at
 ><URL:http://www.cs.duke.edu/~dsb/files/gluestik-0.025b.zoo>.

The URL is incorrect. It was found at:
   http://www.cs.duke.edu/~dsb/files/gluestik-0.02b5.zoo

Otherwise, here's my report on this new beta:

0.02b5 works better than the previous version. While initiating
a DCC SEND under IRC clients doesn't result in GSDRIVER crashes
anymore, it seems GlueSTiK still doesn't read the CIB properly:

Under "GLUESTIK_TRACE = 2" level, this is what I got:

pid 6 (ATARIRC): ERROR: In CNbyte_count(19457{19457}): fcntl() returns 37 ("invalid handle")
pid 6 (ATARIRC): ERROR: CNbyte_count(19457{19457}) returns error code -1037
pid 6 (ATARIRC): ERROR: TCP_close(19457{0}, 0) returns error code -14

The first 2 lines were repeated endlessly, while the last one is
myself, manually closing the DCC SEND to stop the looping. AtarIRC
logging reported the following (type: /debug misc):

***
Application ID: 4
       Menu ID: 0
    VDI handle: 1
Window size in characters: 79x23
        Screen resolution: 640x480x16
  Window character buffer: 106x76
      Default path: C:\
        Sound path: C:\AVR\
    Command string:
Environment string: HOSTNAME=TT-HOMEPAGE
  Multi-Tasking TOS flag: -1
   ACC flag: -1
 Debug flag: 0
      DMA Sound flag: -1
   Sound buffer size: 50000
Sound buffer address: 947584
  DCC buffer address: 20363504
   Client IP address: 0.0.0.0
          Local port: 1034
***

You'll notice GlueSTiK returns an improper client IP. This is because
the IP should be passed by MiNTnet and written to the CIB stack, so a
client who needs the other end's IP (found at loggin) can fetch it.

Lonny Pursell suggests this might be caused by improper access of the
CIB stack, as previously discussed with Dan Ackerman and yourself.

Anyhow, should you require the TOP level of tracing for my logs, just
e-mail me. I'll gladly help sort this final bug out out. ;-)
