Re: [MiNT] binutils 2.21

Thanks Vincent!

I will see if I have time to try to build a native RPM package of it this weekend, although this is a ScummVM release (well, build tagged source and test) weekend, so I am not sure if I'll get to it!

Again, thanks!

Hello.

The binutils 2.21 have just been released. I have updated the MiNT patch and rebuilt all the MiNT cross-tools for Cygwin/Ubuntu. As usual, everything is available here:

Someone had discovered a cousin of the "cout bug" in gas for a.out targets, it has been fixed in this version. This bug occurred when there was a relative reference (bsr, etc.) to a defined weak symbol. This bug was very serious, because wrong code was generated, but I think it was a very rare situation, maybe never actually hit. Anyway, I have rebuilt everything with these new binutils, to be sure all is OK.

That's all - no big news.
GCC 4.5.2 will be out in some weeks, stay tuned.
