It seems to work really well, thank you.

There's only one thing which puzzles me, it happened with 3.96 and now it
happens with 4.05 too. Every so often, Pine will access the disc for 5 or
10 seconds then say something like "New mailbox modification time but no
changes" (sorry, I can't remember the exact message). I just tried setting
mail-check-interval to a huge number like 36000 seconds (10 hours) so
hopefully this will fix it. But is this behaviour normal? I mean why is
Pine noticing a new modification time on the mailbox for no obvious
reason? Why is the modification time just changing sometimes, out of the
blue?
