but I am using on 030, my ct63 is with Czuba hopefully will come by end of 
month.

the key wait. I think it's somehow in the trunk as well.
if i do a halt in task manager, after kill all the processes manually, it will 
do a ESC-E (hom & clear screen) and then
just a blinking cursor. Hit a key and it continues to shutdown (or reboot in 
case because no ct63).

This waits for a key before killing any process on shutdown. You might also try 
this one.

The kernel In my branch now emits Esc-E before shutdown.
