A 68000 can address 16MB of memory, and on a ST equipped with a MagnumST
card, you get a total of 15MB ($0-$DFFFFF plus two 512K blocks above the
TOS). Martin Wevelsiep once had one machine with 15.5MB, but that required
using a pre-2.0x-TOS.

There is also a STE version (up to 4+8MB), andthere are other cards which do
basically the same.
