I provide the FreeMiNT, MiNTLib, etc. sources unmodified, direct from CVS.
When some change is needed (i.e. foreign GNU packages, etc.) I provide a patch and/or custom build script. When it is the case, they are always provided on my web pages.

Regarding to FreeMiNT, I never include custom patches in the sources. If something is wrong, I provide a patch to this list, I wait for it to be committed, and I publish a new FreeMiNT from CVS. Note that I only publish binaries suitable for the FireBee, because users need ColdFire kernel modules, and they are not built by the official daily builds. Especially, EmuTOS for ColdFire can't run 680x0 software, this is why my builds contain only 100% ColdFire binaries. But the sources are identical to the official ones.

Regarding to my binaries, they are always named like this:
package_name - source_date - build_date

So my latest FreeMiNT build uses the CVS sources from 2015/02/08, and I built the binaries the same day.
